CECAVI

The Center for Studies on Quality of life and Social Development of the University of the Americas, Puebla (Mexico) conducts, promotes and disseminates theoretical and applied research on quality of life, education, psychology, communication, economics, sociology and anthropology.
Thus the Center carries out research to explain an ample variety of social phenomena with institutions, mainly Latinamerican, private as well as public, on the design and evaluation of products and services. The Center integrates almost twenty researchers from different areas of the Social Sciences, which allows for an interdisciplinary approach.

Objectives:

• To Generate, promote and divulge basic research on the quality of life, happiness, education, psychology, communication, economics, sociology an anthropology that contributes to scientific knowledge and foments interdisciplinary work.

• To design, implement and evaluate programs, methodology and instruments in communities as well as governmental and private institutions, that contribute to social improvement, to the quality of life, and to political-social decision marking.

• To provide services in advising, consulting and training on the subject of the quality of life and  social development.
