Information technology (IT) is a strategic and essential tool for major businesses and institutions. The correct use of IT creates an infinite number of opportunities, makes maximum use of existing resources, reduces distances, and provides access to a vast quantity of information from any point of the globe.

As one of Mexico´s premier educational institutions, the Universidad de las Américas Puebla is aware of the important role that information technology plays in its daily academic and administrative life, which is why it concentrates on developing four basic aspects of IT: infrastructure, community services, developing and maintaining systems and assuring the infrastructure that provides the UDLA community information, computer and telecommunication services.

More than 90% of the campus has wireless Internet; the SharePoint system allows faculty to dialog electronically with students. The UDLA is proud to work alongside leading international IT companies.
