The aim of the Universidad de las Américas
Puebla research centers is to bring
the individual closer to society and to
close the gap between academic life and
the sustainable economy of the community.
Scientific production at the UDLA is
deemed as extremely important, proof
of which is that the UDLA has over 150
registered researchers, the majority of
whom belong to the National System of
Researchers (SNI, initials in Spanish).
Center for Quality of Life Studies
(CECAVI)
The CECAVI conducts, promotes and
disseminates theoretical and applied
research in the areas of quality of life,
education, psychology, communication,
economics, sociology and anthropology.
Center for Research on Information
Technologies and Automation (CENTIA)
The CENTIA conducts its research in
the areas of computer technology and
automation processes.
Center for Research on Physics and
Applied Mathematics (CIFMA)
The CIFMA solves scientific and technological
problems: operations research,
mathematical optimization, algebra and
optics, by means of interdisciplinary research
projects that meet international
requirements for higher education.
Center for Biological Chemical Research
(CIQB)
The aim of the CIBQ is to consolidate
its areas of research and technological
development by establishing links so
that it may identify opportunities in research
and technological development
in the industrial, health and agriculturefood
sectors.
Center for Research on Economy
and Public Policy (CIEPP)
The CIEPP analyzes public policy and
economic development, with special
emphasis on Mexico.
